Who is Dawrette?

​​

She was born in Upington in 1986 and is married to Ivan Heyns.

They have 2 beautiful sons, Bernardt & Divan Heyns. 

She completed her training in model management and training in 2006, after being part of a modelling school for 4 years during high school. She stopped doing other sports,

to take up double courses in modelling each year.

Beauty pageants and modelling changed her life for the best.

She grew in herself, got confidence, and learned to handle a lot of different people and situations. 

In 2005 she was awarded the title 2nd princess in the Kalahari Kuierfees pageant. 

In 2008 she was awarded the 2nd princess title in the Miss Gemsbok Expo Queen.

and 1st princess in the Miss Desert palace casino pageant. 

In 2011 she won the pageant "The most beautiful mom" in Upington.

In 2009, ​she gave up high heels for motherhood.

In 2010 she decided to step things up by starting her studies in a Bachelor of Ministry

biblical counselling course and her diploma in theology.

The best thing about being a counsellor is seeing people get healed and get

their lives back, after suffering from trauma.  

She received her bachelor's degree in early November 2013

one month before her second son was born.

​In 2018, she was awarded the agent of the year award when she took her students and competed

in the SA Dream Ambassador competition hosted by the beautiful

Tereza Trotskie-Herbst (Mrs. SA 1999-2000).

Al 10 students competing, ended up in the top 20, some of them in the top 10 and

one brought home the title of South Africa Dream Ambassador 2018.

 

In 2019 she decided to compete in the Mrs. Northern Cape, Mzanzi pageant, hosted in

Kimberly in the Northern Cape by Juanita Smit (Role models foundation).

She brought home the title of Mrs. Northern Cape 2020, as well as the following awards:

Mrs. style award (best dressed), Debutante achievement, Over all public choice award,

Senior public choice award and Mrs. Photogenic.

Dawrette judged quiet a view modelling and beauty pageants over the past years.

She was also the coordinator of a lot of the competitions that was hosted in Upington.

​

In 2021 while juggling work and motherhood, she competed in the

Mrs. South Africa pageant in 2021 where she was chosen as a semi-finalist.

​

​My heart for each grown up and child I get to work with, is complete healing and self-worth.

Realizing their potential and pursuing it in confidence and humbleness.

Knowing that everything we have , we get through hard work and is a gift of grace

from the one true God of Abraham , Isaac, Jacob and Israel.

you are an over comer through His grace and love.

Dawrette started the school in 2007 not with the intention of making

and creating models and pageant queens/kings , but to get to work

with people and to get them out of their comfort zones.

Teaching them to deal with situations in life and in school.

The training in modelling and pageantry is to develop leadership

skills, confidence ect.

She believes that every person can have the whole package.

Beauty is more than just inner beauty or outer beauty.

It's both, you can't have one without the other.
